Google AI Mode
Definition
Google AI Mode is a conversational search mode in Google Search that answers a question with an AI-written response and links, instead of a list of results.
How it works
Google says AI Mode uses query fan-out: it splits a question into subtopics, searches them in parallel and writes one answer with sources. Follow-up questions keep the context. See fan-out query.
Why track it separately
For the same question, AI Mode can name other brands and cite other pages than AI Overviews or Gemini. kennt.ai tracks AI Mode in every plan and in the free check.
