Glossary
Prompt
Definition
In AI visibility tracking, a prompt is one question you track, asked in one market and sent to every engine on a schedule, like “best current account for students”.
Branded and unbranded prompts
Unbranded prompts (“best CRM for agencies”) show whether AI recommends you. Branded prompts (“Is [brand] any good?”) always name you, so they are used for sentiment and facts only, not for visibility.
A good prompt set
- Questions real buyers ask, in their language: from sales calls, support tickets, Search Console.
- A mix of intents: exploring (“how do I …”), comparing (“X or Y”), validating (“is X worth it”), problems.
- Enough of them: 30 prompts in 4 engines give up to 120 answers a day, enough for useful weekly ranges.
- Stable over time: change the prompts and your trend breaks.
How kennt.ai counts prompts
Per account, across projects and markets: 50 / 150 / 350 on Starter, Pro and Advanced. Each prompt is asked in every engine of the plan.
